Communities

The area covered by the French Health Network includes 8 designated regions, according to the French Language Services Act. A region is required to register 10 % of its population as francophone or 5000 francophones in an urban centre. Despite the numerous geographical divisions in Ontario, most ministries and organizations divide the region covered by the Réseau in two sub-regions, Central and Southwestern Ontario.

This area includes 10 of the 14 Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) in the province and 4 of the 6 French Language Health Planning Entity of Ontario.

The description of the area covered by the Network, as well as the various Francophone communities divided into 4 Planning Entities for French language services, can be found in the left hand side index.
